ugly to beautiful

I was listening to Gungor this morning and thinking how awesome it is to serve a God who makes beautiful things out of dust.

“The LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.” (Genesis 2:7)

Now if that ain’t beautiful, I don’t know what is.

But what I find more beautiful is the fact that God has the ability and desire to make beautiful things out of us. We are flawed, imperfect, damaged and broken, yet God calls us beautiful. He calls us beautiful because Jesus makes it possible.

Jesus is the lens that God sees us through.

Thankfully.

Maybe even the most profound thing about all of this is the fact that God takes our nastiest sins and makes them beautiful. I know He’s done that for me and I pray you realize He can do it for you too.

God takes a troubled past and makes it meaningful by using it for His glory.
That’s beautiful.

God conquers your failures so He can use it for His success.
That’s beautiful.

God transforms your mistakes by turning them into a testimony of His grace.
That’s beautiful.

I have an ugly past!

You have an ugly past!

But we serve a God who takes our ugly and mends it into something beautiful.

Allow God to turn your ugly into something beautiful today.

Grace & Peace, Marc
